About Angelica Rossin
Angelica Magana-Rossin is a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of New York. Additionally, she is licensed in California and Illinois and provides teletherapy and video therapy services in those states. Angelica earned her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Northwestern University and received intensive clinical training in integrative and Systemic Psychotherapy at The Family Institute, Bette D. Harris Center. She has extensive experience working with couples and individuals in private practice settings. Her specialties include unsatisfactory relationships, anxiety, issues of self-worth, and life transitions. She is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor.
Therapy with Angelica will involve working together to expose the connection between past and present and exploring the impact of external forces on internalized belief systems. She believes that the ability to see more expansively into cause-and-effect, coupled with a deepened present moment awareness to internal experience, can help create the conditions to go beyond painful and limiting old patterns. She hopes to help clients develop an empowered relationship with their feelings by learning to harness difficult emotions and transform them into fuel for positive change.
Angelica approaches couples with an understanding that people vary in their need for intimacy and closeness and that these differences can create conflict. She aims to help couples interact with an increasingly well-developed understanding of each others' inner workings, helping transform conflict into opportunities for deeper intimacy and connection.
Angelica is active, collaborative, and non-judgmental as she supports clients through the courageous process of seeking healing for their relationships: with others, with their feelings, and with their mind, body, and spirit.
