Week 1: Uncovering Meaning

What does self-trust mean to you? To arrive at the answer to this question, it is essential to understand what happened in your life that stripped you of the ability to truly trust your ideas, beliefs, and decisions. This first week, we will dive into your early days and discuss what led to the crumbling of your self-trust. When did you start doubting what you know, think, believe, and feel and how did this lack of self-trust serve the family system you were a part of?  We will work together to discover the answer to these questions and understand the deeper meaning behind your struggles with self-trust.

Week 2: Listening Inward

Building trust begins with listening inward and getting to know yourself again. This is a skill you may have lost for a number of reasons.  Whom did it serve for you to lose your relationship to listening to yourself?  It’s time to make space to truly move beyond all that is holding you back from trusting the most important person: you! This week, we will challenge that avoidance and lean into the inner workings of your mind, body, and soul. You will walk away with a greater awareness of your inner self and one step closer to building back self-trust.

Week 3: Leaning Into Honesty

Self-trust is developed through honesty with yourself, something that is so hard to do. Honesty with yourself is facing the reality that circumstances in your past have created the patterns of today that keep you from truly connecting with yourself and others. Have you struggled with truly accepting yourself as you are? What is in the way? Facing these questions head on allows space for vulnerability and openness, which lead to a deepened self-awareness. This week, we will explore what it means to be true to yourself, leaving behind the pull towards pleasing others and seeking approval. We will explore ways to move in the direction of accepting yourself and appreciating you as you are.

Week 4: Challenging Negative Beliefs

From the very beginning of your story, you had to cope with different circumstances, personalities, and environments. Along your journey, you absorbed beliefs about yourself that are impacting you today, ones that paved the way to mistrust in yourself. Do these negative beliefs of self interfere in your day to day life? Do you find yourself second guessing your decisions and always wondering if you’re overthinking or overreacting? This week, we will unearth these negative beliefs to understand them and challenge them in order to move towards giving yourself some grace.

Week 5: Discovering Joy

What brings you joy? What brings your soul to life? If you know the answer to this, do you struggle with leaning into the joy and allowing yourself to truly feel it? When this happens, there is usually a self-critical voice that tells you you’re wasting time or not being productive enough and doesn’t let you lean into joy. This week, we will make room for self-exploration and uncover and discover your strengths, skills, and all that makes you smile. We will explore specific strategies to infuse joy into your life and be mindfully present to truly experience it. We will kick that self-defeating voice goodbye.

Week 6: Setting Boundaries

Boundary-setting is a skill that goes hand in hand with self-trust. When you lose the ability to trust yourself, you find it challenging to set boundaries with people in your life. What comes in the way of boundary-setting for you? What fears and worries come up for you when you think of asserting yourself, saying what you mean, and letting people know you’re not tolerating what they’re throwing at you anymore? What are your limits and do people know not to cross them? This week, we will explore what is important to you in life and in relationships with regard to boundaries. We will discuss scenarios in your life in which boundaries need to be set, how to set them, and specific phrases and actions you can use that align with your values.

Week 7: Using Your Voice

Understanding what boundaries need to be set is one thing. Using your voice to set them is another. Do you find yourself knowing when you need to set a boundary but can’t find the words? Or you know which words to use but can’t say them? This week, we will discuss challenges when using your voice, including understanding how the system you were in growing up did not make space for it. We will uncover techniques together to pave the way to self-confidence and comfort in speaking up for yourself, which is a powerful way to build self-trust because you prove to yourself you’ve got your back no matter what.

Week 8: Committing To Self-Trust

Trust is built upon making commitments and keeping them. After today, what will prevent you from staying true to yourself? What will come in the way of taking care of your needs, wants, desires, and dreams? This week, we will explore this continual commitment to self and discuss this transformative group experience and ways to implement all that was explored and discovered. We will envision how self-trust will look with all the new skills you learned and insight you obtained. We will celebrate your journey towards a deeper self-trust!
